Ravi Sadananda Swamy Shankar, MD

Ravi Shankar, MD, is board certified in internal medicine with sub-specialties in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. Dr. Shankar earned his medical degree from Al-Ameen Medical College at Karnataka University in India. He completed his internship at Mount Vernon Hospital and his residency at Albany Medical Center, both in New York. He also completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care at Buffalo General Medical Center in New York. Patients say that Dr. Shankar is quiet, thoughtful, and a good listener. He cares about their health and is especially concerned with the health and well-being of seniors. In his spare time, he enjoys working on the computer, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to English, Dr. Shankar speaks Hindi.
