E Duane Carmalt, MD

E. Duane Carmalt, MD, is board certified in internal medicine as well as infectious disease. Dr. Carmalt earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He interned at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Dr. Carmalt completed his residency and was the recipient of a fellowship at the VA's West Los Angeles Medical Center. His philosophy is 'partners not patients,' when seeing people who need his help. Dr. Carmalt tries to help patients understand their illness and how to manage it. Away from the office, he loves hiking, music, gardening, and plumbing. He speaks English and has knowledge of medical Spanish.
