Optum Indiana virtual care

Have a face-to-face virtual visit with your doctor from home.

Get the virtual care you need from the comfort of home

Optum Indiana has a new way for you to get care. Virtual visits let you meet with your primary care doctor using a computer, smartphone or tablet from the comfort of your home. They’re easy to do and secure — your visit is private and your information is protected.

Many of the same primary care doctors you see in the office are available for virtual care appointments. Most health plans include virtual care appointments. Check with your plan ahead of time to make sure.

FAQ about virtual care services

Virtual visits are available to all Optum Indiana patients. To schedule a visit, call your local doctor’s office.

Once your visit is scheduled, you’ll get a meeting invitation by email or text. If you want a family member or friend to be part of your virtual visit, you can privately share the meeting invitation with them.

Please don't publicly post meeting invitations on social media or other online forums.

SecureVideo’s “One-Click” is a browser-based video tool. You don't need to download or install any software to use it.

Our “One-Click" participation guide explains how to start your virtual care visit.

With virtual visits, you can get the care you need, when you need it. Virtual visits can also help you:

  • See and talk with your doctor without coming in contact with viruses and illnesses
  • Get care for common health problems, such as the flu, allergies and infections
  • Have a prescription sent to your pharmacy

To find out if virtual care appointments are included with your health plan, call the number on your insurance card.
